Other locations may be considered.Applications close 6pm AEST, 18 January 2022 About the role We are seeking a highly motivated, experienced, organised and detail orientated individual to join our team. The People and Culture Coordinator is an integral position within the People and Operations team and for the organisation. As the first contact point for all employees, this position embodies the values of FYA.Reporting to the Director, People & Operations, this position is responsible for coordinating key people related activities across the organisation, including recruitment, payroll, as well as supporting the People and Operations team to deliver an exceptional employee experience at FYA. Working between home and the office, you will enjoy a flexible work environment while supporting our teams across Australia. You will have the opportunity to grow and develop whilst playing an active part in key people initiatives and improvements.This is a part-time opportunity, with a start date in February/March 2022.Please see attached position description for more details regarding core responsibilities for the role.  About YouYou have Tertiary qualifications and/or Certificate IV in Human Resource Management or a related field, or equivalent demonstrated experience. You have at least 2 years experience doing people and culture work such as recruitment, onboarding, payroll, cultural building activities, compliance, and OH&S.You are a true HR generalist and jack-of-all trades. You’re a quick learner and go where you need to go to get the job done and you love to be involved in all different kinds of work. You have high attention to detail and are very organised. So much of this role is about the little details we need to be on top of - from the dates people start, people's exact salaries, formatting of Job Descriptions and policies we need to be on top of. For someone to really thrive in this role, attention to detail needs to be one of your core strengths. You have excellent communication skills, whether that be verbal or written, and know how to change your style of communication depending on your audience and the situation.You know how to create useful resources that help people in their day-to-day work, from a how-to guide for interviews to spreadsheets to track development reviews. People rely on us to create these resources and you are more than able to deliver.Ability to work autonomously and as a supportive team player. You can take a task and run with it but also look to support others and contribute to the team (and celebrate the achievements!)You are passionate about social justice and youth empowerment, likely through work with non-profit organisations, social justice movements, or youth-led organisations.About usWe’re the largest independent nonprofit in Australia dedicated to backing the capacity, voice, and power of young changemakers.
